In 1904 a devoted, determined, yet unworldly man, Hakeem Kabir Ahmad SadiqSahab — started his matab (clinic) in the sub lanes of Sambhal. With a simple tenet that no one has ever become poor by giving, Hakeem KabirSahab let his patients find compassion in him. Unfortunately he passed away and Hakeem Sageer Ahmed SadiqSahab walked on the footprints of his father- a very well-known practitioner, who was always committed in making quality healthcare an affordable and accessible reality throughout. Hakeem RaisSahab took his legacy further and started his practice in 1941. He made a remarkable name in the field of Unanipractise and earned many laurels against his name.Leaving no stone unturned Hakeem Zafar Ahmad SadiqSahab further carried the mission and vision laid down by his father, it is the trust of the patients in him that in today’s date he cures and treat at least 400 patients daily.His sons Hakeem Bukhrat Ahmad Sadiq and Hakeem Rushed Ahmad Sadiq with their extraordinary drive have made a little mark in no time. Both the brothers took responsibilities of curing and treating people which led them to start their respective matabs in Karnal and New Delhi.

Hakim Zafar sahab’s mission is to lessen the suffering and to provide health and educational services to all. Keeping this thought in mind Hakeem Zafar Sahab along with his sons Hakeem Bukhrat, Mr. Luqman and Hakeem Rushed with a great vision of spreading the Unani method of Medicine have established Hakeem RaisUnani Medical College and Hospital in 2010 in the name of Late Hakim Rais Ahmad Sadiq, an eminent Unani Physician of Sambhal (U.P.).

Hakim Zafar Ahmad Sadiq established Hakim RaisUnani Medical College and Hospital with the great vision of spreading the Unani method of Medicine and to produce competent Unani graduates of profound scholarship, having deep basis of Unani with modern scientific knowledge, in accordance with Unani fundamentals with extensive practical training so as to become Unani Physician and Surgeon and research worker fully competent to serve in the medical and health services of the country.Hakim RaisUnani Medical College and Hospital spreads over a plot of 20 acres. There is ample scope for the future growth of the campus. The College affiliated from ChhatrapatiSahujiMaharaj University of Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh from session 2013-14, but from session 2015-16 college has been affiliated from Mahatma JyotibaPhuleRohilkhand University, Bareilly (U.P.).
