Admission to Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery (Kamil-e-Tib-O-Jarahat) course
The eligibility to seek admission in Bachelor of Unani Medicine and Surgery- B.U.M.S. (Kamil-e-Tib-O-Jarahat) course shall be as under:-
(a) The candidate must have passed intermediate (10+2) or its equivalent examination recognized by the concerned State Government and Education Board with subjects of Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English individually and must have obtained minimum fifty per cent. marks taken together in Physics, Chemistry and Biology at the aforesaid qualifying examination in the case of general category and forty per cent. marks in the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes. Candidate must have 10th standard Urdu Certificate or any equivalent Urdu examination.
(b) In respect of persons with disability candidate specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (49 of 2016), the minimum qualifying marks in the said qualifying examination in Physics, Chemistry and Biology shall be forty-five per cent. in the case of general category and forty per cent. in the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
(c) No candidate shall be admitted to B.U.M.S Degree Course unless he has attained the age of seventeen years on or before the 31st December of the year of his admission in the first year of the course.
(d) B.U.M.S. (Bachelor of Unani Medicine & Surgery) – Seats shall be filled by National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET)/CPAT & as per directions of high court & Supreme Court from time to time.
(i) In order to be eligible for admission to under-graduate course for an academic year, it shall be necessary for a candidate to btain minimum of marks at 50th percentile in the ‘National Eligibility Entrance Test for undergraduate course’ held for the said academic year:
Provided that in respect of-
(I) candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes, the minimum marks shall be at 40th percentile;
(II) Candidates with benchmark disabilities specified under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 (49 of 2016), the minimum marks shall be at 45th percentile in the case of general category and 40th percentile in the case of the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes.
DURATION OF COURSE AND EXAMINATION:
1st Year – 12 months
2nd Year – 12 months
3rd Year – 12 months
Final Year – 18 Months
Internship – 12 Months
INTERNSHIP
The duration of compulsory rotatory internship shall be one year and the student shall be eligible to join the compulsory internship program after passing all the subjects from first year to final year examinations and the internship program shall be start after declaration of the result of final year examination.
ATTENDANCE
Each student shall be required to attend not less than three forth of the lecturers delivered and practicals /demonstrations/clinical held in each subject during each Professional Course.
MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION
The medium of instruction is Urdu substantiated with English wherever necessary.
The candidates who have passed the final year examination and have completed 12 months rotatory internship in the hospital shall be awarded the degree Kamil-e-tib-o-Jarahat , B.U.M.S. (Bachelor of Unani Medicine and surgery ) by the University.
Note:-
A. All admissions to B.U.M.S. 1st year shall be done according to guidelines of Govt. of India.
B. Final list of successful candidates will be notified on the college notice board in addition individual intimation will be sent by ordinary post.
C. Selected students who fail to pay off their fees within the stipulated time shall lose opportunity of admission & their seats shall be treated as vacant, and under circumstances shall be filled in by other deserving candidates on waiting list.
D. The institution reserves itself the right to permit or reject admission to any candidate without assigning any cause or reason. A candidate shall not be entitled to claim admission or lodge complaint against, as a matter of right even if he is otherwise eligible.
E. All the candidates of the B.U.M.S. 1st year shall be admitted provisionally.
F. Fee structure & rules referred in the prospectus of the college, being its right reserved, can be amended, altered & added at any time.
G. Any amount received in the college shall not be refunded.
H. Site of Jurisdiction in any dispute will remain Sambhal only.
